About Me

Hi, I'm Chris — a data scientist with 25+ years of corporate experience building and leading teams to solve data-oriented business problems at scale. In 2023 I joined NYU Stern to teach statistics and data science.

I enjoy exploring applications of data science in the real world. My research over the years has focused on a variety of topics: recommender systems, social networks, communication graphs, data visualization, smart cities, and bias in machine learning models.

In my spare time I am on the Board of Trustees of the Morris Educational Foundation (currently Vice Chair), where I help to run our annual fundraiser and talent show - Morristown ONSTAGE. I also love skiing, hiking, kayaking, and running — and consider myself an amateur sabermetrician (application of data science to baseball). Go Yankees!

Teaching

My courses focus on practical application of statistics and data science, leaning heavily on real-world use cases. Materials can be found at my Github site.
